Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about sharing notes, verification, and using AP Notes.
Getting started
AP Notes is a free community library of A/L science notes and past papers for Sri Lankan students — Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Combined Maths, in English, සිංහල and தமிழ்.
Yes. Reading notes and contributing your own are both completely free.
English, සිංහල and தமிழ். Set your default medium in Settings — notes exist across all three.
Contributing & verification
Any signed-in student. New contributors' notes are reviewed by an admin before they go live.
You draft a note, submit it, an admin reviews it, and then it's published. Editing a published note sends it back for a quick re-review.
Verified contributors are trusted students whose notes publish instantly, and whose edits stay live without re-review. You'll see a blue tick next to their name.
Keep sharing quality notes — the team reviews active contributors and upgrades them. You can also reach out on Telegram.
Content & features
Short, story-style tips that appear for about 24 hours — a fast way to share a formula, diagram or exam trick.
LearniX is our AI layer that generates a concise summary, keywords and topics for each note — it powers search and the note overview.
Admins curate A/L past papers and marking schemes — browse them by subject, year and category, and download the paper plus its marking scheme.
